Advanced contemporary class led by Artistic Director Emily Cargill emphasizes the uniqueness of each individual’s way of moving within a release-based style of movement. Dancers will explore physical risk taking, while paying attention to alignment, breath, and the BACK SPACE. In this class, dancers will investigate the combination of large, expansive movement vocabulary coupled with nuanced and expressive articulation of detail. Most importantly, we will MOVE, and engage in a way that allows us to uncover the joy that movement brings the body.
